REHAU Future Symposium an outstanding success

REHAU Future Symposium an outstanding success Interesting and informative at the same time: the panel discussion
With the recent “Future Symposium” held at the Technical College in Hof, Germany, which featured a series of distinguished speakers, REHAU once more underlined its strategic direction towards sustainable and energy-efficient solution packages for industry and business, and also private builders. First-class speakers, including Prof. Hans Werner Sinn from the ifo-Institute in Munich, created a lot of excitement in the audience from the start.

"This conference should be more than just another knowledge transfer event. We would like to use this opportunity to provide new impulses and set new trends", explained CEO Rainer Schulz at the beginning of the Climate + Energy Future Symposium at the Hof Technical College.

With the Hof Technical College, REHAU gained a predestined cooperation partner for this event. Approximately 200 German and international guests from politics, business and research, as well as the company, were given a unique opportunity to hear first-class presentations on measures and strategies for climate protection and climate change.

The cross-section of currently discussed topics ranged from the required technologies, products and business models for sustainable ecology, climate protection in the value chain, opportunities and risks for the marketing of climate protection, all the way to the political situation. Business expert Sinn provided his customary provocative input in the panel discussion which followed. "The amount we manage to save with regard to greenhouse emission reductions is really just blown into the air, on a global basis. It's all for nothing", the prominent economist said.

To enable the larger public to experience the entire Climate + Energy Future Symposium, REHAU decided to host the event live on the Internet for the first time. This meant that interested PC users all over the globe were able to connect with just a click of the mouse and participate live in the event.

In addition, guests on location were also able to see what REHAU is already offering in terms of energy efficiency and climate protection. As well as a walk-in truck with information on "Ecological Heating and Cooling", participants also had a chance to view the first electric vehicles from the company's fleet on the open area in front of the lecture hall.
