Conducted from 21 to 25 November 2005, the training was undertaken at Gehause Living’s fabrication workshop in Bangkok. Sixteen employees from Gehause Living took part in the training given by Mr. Matthias Mondry from REHAU Y.
The five-day practical session covered fundamental theoretical knowledge such as profile usage, materials calculation, and static calculation; culminating in the fabrication of a two-meter wide and three-meter high curtain wall.
The move to the REHAU Polytec 50 is a switch for Gehause Living from the other curtain wall system they were previously working. This switch, along with the fact that Gehause Living is also the first to take on the REHAU S717 Patio Door system for the Patio Door requirement in the Thai market, illustrates the positive partnership between the REHAU Bangkok office and Gehause Living.
The collaboration with REHAU affirms the strategy of Gehause Living to move away from the battle in mass market price-slashing to the upscale premium market, where demand for quality and workmanship is the basic requirement.
The REHAU Polytec 50 system is the slimiest uPVC curtain walling system currently on the market. REHAU superior technology, taken together with Gehause Living’s well-focused advertising and promotion activities, provides an edge against other uPVC window fabricators.
With an economic upturn in the Thai market and a marked increase in finished uPVC window orders from Japan, the management of Gehause Living see a bright future in the uPVC window business.
REHAU Polytec 50 curtain walling system combines the economics of polymer materials with the advantages of conventional transom/mullion construction with the same profile acting as both transom and mullion, helping to eliminate wastage.
The curtain walling system is a slim system with the face profiles measuring just 50mm.
REHAU Polytec 50 is available in white and a vast range of RAL colours, using the REHAU Acryl II colour coating system and by powder coating.
