RAUSIK
REHAU silicone rubber
Strips, profiles and round cords are suitable for a wide range of applications. REHAU offer an extensive range of silicone products, giving you the advantage of quick delivery without tool charges or development time.
In its basic form, silicone rubber is a high quality insultion material with a volume resistance of 1014 to 1015 ohm x cm. By using special additives, it is possible to make RAU-SIK electrically conductive and reducing volume resistance down to 1 ohm x cm.
RAU-SIK is used in the following areas:
- food industry technology
- automotive supply industry
- sealing technology
- electrical applications, e.g. shielding against
- electrical interference
Silicone is a material with excellent properties designed for extremes.
Some of RAU-SIK characteristics :
- resistant to a wide range of chemicals
- resilence in heat and cold
- electrically insulating & conductive
- without plasticiser and therefore not susceptible to plasticiser migration
- high compression set
- good thermal conductivity
- excellent resistance to weathering, light ozone and ageing
For special applications specific material grades are available:
- temperature resistant under dry heat conditions to +200°C, in special formulations up to approx. +300°C, short-term extremes up to +315°C
- low temperatures to approx. –60°C, special types to approx. –90°C
- electrically conductive with special additives
