REHAU Live-Rail Supports
Load-bearing elements for the supply of operational current
Made of REHAU's glass reinforced polymer (GRP) formulation, the live rail support has high static and dynamic strength, and is less susceptible to cracking when compared with ceramic or resin insulators.
Vertically adjustable up to 64 mm, REHAU rail support can compensate the difference in height of varying site conditions and all kinds of ramp situations.
Self extinguishing supports
REHAU live rail support is developed using material with fire-extinguishing properties which put out any accidental flame, preventing propagation of fire.
Water absorptions
REHAU supports only absorb a minimum of water. In a test on REHAU insulators installed in Cairo, less than 0.3% of water was absorbed (by weight) after six hours. REHAU electrical/insulating properties are minimally influenced by water.
Excellent insulation
REHAU rail support and its insulator are combined in one insulating component. This means an increased distance between the powered REHAU 3rd rail and the running rail, leading to much better insulating properties compared to steel supports with only a small insulator in the top.
